Community engagement efforts  prior to the letting of the tender and during the project meant that  affected residents were kept informed throughout by Council. The fact  that the roadway remained open during the project met with high  community approval. ''

Construction of a roundabout - Intersection of Murray Valley Highway & Warren Street, Echuca. "As part of the largest infrastructure project in northern Victoria,  we’re building a second Murray River crossing to connect Echuca and  Moama to make it quicker and easier for you to travel across the  Campaspe and Murray Rivers." " We have completed a major upgrade of Napier Street (Midland Highway) to  improve traffic flow and transport options between Weeroona Avenue and  Hall Street in Bendigo. This upgrade was completed with $30.4 million  from the Victorian Government. ' commented by Vic roads 

Construction of a rebuild at the roundabout of Doyles Rd and the Midland Hwy at Shepparton East started yesterday.

Federal Member for Murray Sharman Stone, joined with Vic Roads and construction company representatives at the site to welcome the upgrade.

The project is worth $7.5 million, with the Federal Government committing $5.6 million and the Victorian Government the remaining $1.9 million.

The upgrade involves the construction of a dual-lane roundabout and duplication of road approaches to the intersection.

‘‘This roundabout has been congested and slow for too long,’’ Dr Stone said.
