Echuca in Victoria and Moama in New South Wales are connected by a single Murray River Bridge, which was opened in 1878.
The project will build a second Murray River crossing, connecting the Murray Valley Highway and Warren Street at Echuca, with the Cobb Highway at Perricoota Road in Moama.
The first stage of the project to upgrade the Murray Valley Highway and Warren Street intersection was completed in mid-2018.
Upgrades to Warren Street are currently underway as part of Stage 2, while the remaining stages are in procurement.
A second crossing will strengthen the link between Echuca, Moama and the surrounding regions.
The Echuca-Moama Bridge Project is jointly funded by the Australian, Victorian and New South Wales governments.
